I went into the cinema not knowing what the movie is about except that the main character is a grumpy old man and that it's gonna be good because it's Pixar.

True enough, Pixar never fails. The first 30 minutes kept me spellbound and made me teared. It was so sweet; and sad. The remaining 1 hr left me amused and delighted with the adventure of Carl, Russell, Dug and Kevin.

I especially love the Adventure Book.

To me, this movie also touches on the subject of "letting go". How that eventually, at one point in time, one must let go of something/someone which/who is gone and move on. It's sad to watch Carl seeing the house float away, but I feel happy for him too that he is embracing a new life in the newly acquired airship.

Everyone should stay till the end of the credits. The additional touches by the producers are especially delightful. :)

"Sometimes, it's the boring stuff I remember the most."
